Isn't it sad that any other farm-planet would be too many light years away for us to reach?

Because of mathematical probability, I would naturally believe in intelligent design, even without Scripture. Yet because infinite time is a truth, I realize we would only be one of many inhabited planets of superior design. Yet I think it is sad that our planet is so biologically isolated that we have not been able to prove alien life and do not see how we could ever have the technological means to visit one even if we did discover it. What if our planet is one of the few which is so isolated as to never receive contact or communications with another inhabited world? Sound possible?
