I think my Manager was wrong in this situation?

So a costumer checks out at the register and he can't get his card to swipe because its a piece of **** and he has had it for 15 years and won't get a new one. He got upset because i couldn't get it to swipe...Now how in the hell is that my fault so then he wants a Manager to come down there and help him so i call a Manager and SHE tells me there is nothing they can do so then i tell him that and his WIFE literally says "If they won't come down here then i am going to file a complaint" now this pissed me off because it wasn't my *****ing fault so i told her "Just go do what you want..i don't really care" and she walked off" Now i called my Manager back and told her that she was coming up there to file a complaint and i also told her "That i wasn't back here to deal with angry costumers and fight with them..im just not going to do it" now that pissed her off so she called me to her office and told me "YOU DON'T SPEAK TO ME IN THAT TONE...I AM A MEMBER OF MANAGEMENT AND I WILL NOT TOLERATE THAT" god was i pissed but i didn't say anything back to her then she write me up because of the way i spoke to HER...what kind of **** is that? and then she said "Im going on a three day break and when i come back you had better not given the other managers anymore problems." Ummmm ok MOM...>__>....and of course she didn't take my side she just said "The costumer is always right and the Costumer can cuss me out and spit in my face and i can't do anything about it" ya i don't follow that rule...Im not going to let them step on me...I think she was wrong on her part...
